The Color Green
Blair Borax
Portland, Oregon
Blair Borax is an independent artist and singer-songwriter, making music in Portland, Oregon. In 2025, Blair put out her third record – The Color Green. With 10 songs written over the course of two years, Blair paints the picture of falling in love, missing home, opening her window to a man riding a bicycle in circles, holding her dad’s hand in the hospital and finding hope in disturbed times. The name came to her while on a spring walk in the neighborhood; smelling sweet jasmine and lush roses while feeling the sadness of close grief around her. Trying to make sense of it, she searched for something hopeful to hold onto and found the color green.
The custom album art weaves viridescent motifs of loss, home, spring, and time found throughout Blair’s lyrics. The vinyl was recorded at Anjuna Recording Studio in Southeast Portland and was pressed by Cascade Record Pressing in Milwaukee, OR. Limited merch for the record was produced and available at the launch party at Sosta House in the summer of 2025.
